Want to read more?

Over on at the Doom Wiki, there has been an article written about The Unholy Trinity, that also has a walkthrough for it, if you get lost.

As well as this, there is also a separate article on Elias Papavassilopoulos, one of the creators of this WAD.

[ Level construction ] ----------------------------------------------

This is not a Doom fighting level, this is a real classic. The
authors designed the whole Trinity College of Cambridge with a lot
of (scanned?) textures. The well constructed interconnected rooms,
hallways and courtyards make the level a nice puzzle-level too. Good
light usage, but nothing special.

[ Texture design ] --------------------------------------------------

Only a few misaligned textures, especially at stairs. But nothing
really bad, very good combinations of new and old textures.

[ Bugs ] ------------------------------------------------------------

No HOMs, Medusa effects or Tutti-Frutties.

[ Enemies ] ---------------------------------------------------------

Not very hard, only a few places with some tougher enemies, such
as a few Barons or Cacos. All in all well placed.

[ Things ] ----------------------------------------------------------

Good amount of ammo and health, only a few other things - there
could be some more...

[ Scoring ] ---------------------------------------------------------

  80%

Worth downloading. A level rather for watching than fighting. Hard
work doing all the graphic-conversions, I bet. A must for every real
Doom-WAD-editor, to get an idea of what can be done! (Btw. running
WARM over Trinity gives great speed-improvements... I know, Trinity
was done in september 94 and WARM is much younger, so the authors
could not use this tool - today this would give the ability to add
a lot of other Things, just to let you know.)
