[ Level construction ] ----------------------------------------------
Infinity is the third part of the Serenity series. I like to say,
it is better than the others. Though all levels are 'looking' quite
the same. Often the 'brown-metal' style was used. Almost every
level has good key-placement and construction. Alternately designed
places: hallways, waste places, ups & down, lifts, some labyrinths
computer-rooms and a few nice traps. Excellent light usage, such as
cones of light and darker areas. Often the levels are partly
symmetricaly constructed. Great for Multiplayer-Games.
[ Texture design ] --------------------------------------------------
Most textures are well placed and aligned, but (wall)-lights are
often misaligned.
[ Bugs ] ------------------------------------------------------------
No Tuttie-Frutti, Medusa or HOM effects. A few HOMs only if you
use a Doom version below 1.666 - info from the authors.
[ Enemies ] ---------------------------------------------------------
Played in UV only. Good playable, sometimes a bit easy. Lots of
Shotgun Guys, Imps and Pigs. Only a few Cacos and Barons. Well
placed; in almost every level you will use the Shotgun at all, you
really need no Rocket Launcher or the Plasma Gun.
[ Things ] ----------------------------------------------------------
Good amount of ammo and health, well placed too. Good usage of
'other' things, such as barrels, dead bodies etc.
[ Scoring ] ---------------------------------------------------------
90%
Really worth downloading. A bit more variety, better light
alignment and more monsters would take the last 10%. Don't miss that
one anyway!
